What is ReGen 2:20?
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20
This verse holds an important truth for us, especially the thought that I no longer live but Christ in me. Renouncing ones self and identifying with someone else is a huge task for us. We have labored and went to great lengths to secure ourselves in this world, but it still doesn't seem like it's enough. TRUTH: It isn't! There is nothing we can do, within ourselves, to create or become righteous. NOTHING! Bring in the Person JESUS. He is righteousness embodied! He is our perfect example! He gave Himself for us, and now invites us to join Him by claiming His righteousness over our own self.
The Jesus Revolution begins when we as believers grasp ahold of this concept and live for His glory, not ours! What difference would be made in our schools, churches, and communities, if just one person committed to this belief? Jesus' life was a full and total commitment to His Father's Glory, not His own. His obedience in doing that amazing work of Love turning this world upside down! He is now looking to us, His followers, to continue that work. But, we can't if we are consumed with ourselves. We have to "be crucified". We have to be willing to give up our life of "righteousness", and claim His Righteousness!
ReGen2:20 is about getting people together, to hear the WORD, and allowing the Holy Spirit to speak!
ReGen2:20 is about change.....about a way of LIFE.....a CHANGED LIFE! One that recognizes Jesus as it's center! One where He, and Him alone receives the Glory and Honor!
